In her capacity as CEO, Nandita Lakshmanan has been
responsible for chartering the growth map for The PRactice, taking it
international through its alliance with Porter Novelli, and ensuring
that The PRactice retains its edge in the Industry.
Under Nandita’s aegis the Firm has steered very
clearly in the direction of specialisation. The PRactice today has
technology, healthcare and consumer as its key verticals. Nandita is a
media trainer and has conducted several media training sessions for
companies including Microsoft, AMD, Mercer, Qualcomm among others.
Nandita began her PR career in 1993 with Genesis
PR, a leading PR agency in India. She was responsible for starting and
spearheading the company’s technology vertical division as well as the
Firm’s operations in the South.
A first generation entrepreneur, Nandita believes
in “growing slow, but growing right”. The philosophy of The PRactice
rests strongly on growth through retention of clients, allowing for long
term rewarding partnerships.
Nandita is an active member of the Public
Relations Consultants Association of India, and stepped down in 2008
after serving as President of the Association for two consecutive years.
She is also an alumna of the prestigious Fortune/US State Department
Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership.
Nandita has a Masters in Literature from Delhi
University and a Diploma in Public Relations. She took to learning
Hindustani Classical Music a year ago.
