Laura brings 17 years of B2B, consumer and corporate PR experience to Porter Novelli clients. Her personal expertise and interest lies in client counsel, account and project management, strategic program development, media relations and staff development. Laura loves nothing more than successfully placing a good story, which she does regularly. In fact, she was named one of PR Source’s 35 Top Tech Communicators of 2008, as voted by the media. Laura and her team are known throughout the Porter Novelli network for treating repeat clients like extended family; for having smart, scrappy creative ideas and out-of-the-box programs with big impact; for stellar relationships with key media; for cutting edge social media programs, particularly direct-to-community, events and street teams; and for digging into verticals or demographics such as SMB, mommies or college students. Laura’s 14-year career with Porter Novelli began in Boston. Since the Austin office opened in 2000, she and her team have worked with a mix of corporate clients such as Wells Fargo, Capital One, Nextel, Gillette, Oral-B and Roche Diagnostics, as well as with Web 2.0 start-ups such as the Green Grid, Convio, Like.com, Chegg and FriendFeed and with Austin’s own GSD&M and SXSW. Laura is particularly proud of her 10-year relationship with PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as having worked with Hewlett-Packard across a number of projects throughout her years with the agency. Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boston College and is the proud mom of Thea Fenway (yes, as in the Red Sox) and Amelia.

“We in Austin have a particular passion for and focus on technology start ups, as well as cutting edge digital programs for clients of all sizes.” She says, “from those technology start ups, right up through Porter Novelli’s biggest brand clients.”
